Mikael on extended change of recommendations

Head of School, Mikael Lindström, writes about the extended changes of the recommendations for employees at CBH.

Due to new stricter recommendations for the Stockholm region from the Public Health Agency since October 30 temporary changes in KTH’s recommendations have been introduced. These changes have now been extended until December 31, 2020.

or staff: The main principle of working two days at campus is temporarily paused during this period. Employees should consult with their managers on how work should be carried out. Physical meetings should be assessed individually in cooperation with the nearest manager.

In accordance with other adaptions to minimize infection teaching can be to a greater extent be digital during the rest of the term if that is found suitable. Practical moments, like laboratory work, should still be carried out on campus. Decisions regarding how campus-based teaching combined with on-line teaching will be taken in the upcoming weeks with the intent of creating a sustainable teaching situation during the spring term.

For students: If there are no scheduled on-campus activities students are advised to study at home and avoid travelling to campus.

KTH’s buildings are open but limitations regarding access including opening hours may be issued. Information from the library  and KTH Entré . KTH operations are not affected by the governments’ proposal of limiting public meetings to eight people.
