Mikael on KTH's plan of operation for 2022
Head of School Mikael Lindström writes about the work with KTH's plan of operation for 2022 and the CBH School's upcoming staff meetings.
The KTH's Strategic Council and the Head of School Council are currently discussing KTH's plan of operation for 2022. In the end, it will dictate the Presidents priorities for the coming year. The second draft is currently being reviewed, and after forthcoming discussions in the Strategic Council, among others, the plan, including appendices, will be completed. The President decision finalizing the plan of operation is planned for 23 November 2021.
In the plan, there will probably be room for start-up grants for new faculty positions, something we at the CBH School appreciate a lot as it helps in our school's strategic discussion and development. The President will also start a program with centrally funded doctoral student positions at the three universities NTU, SJTU and DTU. There will probably be two places per university in 2022 that can then be expanded. There may be more universities from 2023 and the doctoral positions will be allocated via announcements.
We will talk more about KTH’s plan of operation for 2022 at our upcoming staff meetings, where we will also provide information about undergraduate education, incidents at the CBH School and new staff.

The information given will be the same at both meetings and they will be held via Zoom. So it does not matter which campus work on, you can go to the meeting that suits you best.The meetings will be held in English.

As we wrote in a previous CBH News, it is time to elect new members to the School Faculty Assembly at the CBH School. Each department shall elect two members. Everyone who is eligible for the CBH School Faculty Assembly has received an email. Do you want to get involved? If you want to run as a new member or be re-elected for another term – send a short motivation to kommunikation@cbh.kth.se . The deadline for registering has passed, but we are still missing some nominations for some institutions.
