Abstract

In my 30% seminar, I will describe the work I've done in the first 1.5 years of my PhD, which focuses on studying verbal interaction with robots using brain imaging. I will talk about an open-source brain imaging dataset we've analyzed with our group and the steps we've taken to create our own multimodal dataset of human-robot interactions with a focus on conversational engagement: from testing a novel Furhat WoZ interface to bringing together the setup to collect conversational brain data (spoiler: it was a tough but successful path!).
In addition as a prologue to my current study, I will give a mini lecture on cognitive neuroscience titled "How to become a brain expert in 10 minutes".
