First annual doctoral seminar
Time: Fri 2019-12-06 15.15
Participating: Christina Tånnander
This annual doctoral seminar is about speech synthesis for reading long
and information rich texts aloud. I’m especially interested in (1) text
processing, G2P etc. for speech synthesis; (2) text profiling to predict
a text’s suitability for being read by a synthetic voice, or to see if
certain text types are helped by being read in a certain manner (reading
style); and (3) evaluation methods of voices and reading styles for long
texts, both for synthetic and human voices.
I will summarize the work of my first year as an industrial PhD student
at TMH and present the preliminary plans for 2020.
