Abstract:

The aims of this research is to perform real time monitoring of rotor angle instability to prevent black out of electrical system by sudden generator tripping or cascading failure. Therefore, monitoring of rotor angle is required to get clear indication regarding stability of power system. So, monitoring of rotor angle instability using different algorithms of lyapunov exponent will be presented.
