12th Clean Energy Ministerial

This year’s event takes place from 31 May to 6 June 2021, is hosted by the Government of Chile and will be live-streamed to audiences around the world. Through an online platform, participants can access on demand content, watch live events, visit the virtual expo centre and network extensively for an entire week.

As in previous years, the World Energy Council joins the activities and conversations the leading countries, companies and international experts are having on accelerating the transition to a global clean energy economy.

  • On Monday, 31 May at 17.05 CEST a Trigger Talk with Dr Angela Wilkinson, our Secretary General and CEO on “Closing the implementation gap by involving road building communities” will be aired.
  • On Tuesday, 1 June at 15.25 CEST Philippe Joubert, Senior Advisor to the World Energy Council joins a conversation on discussion “High-Level Launch of the Empowering People Initiative: Panel Discussion on Skills and Workforce Development for the Clean Energy Transition”
  • On Thursday, 3 June Dr Angela Wilkinson joins the Ministerial Plenary “Ambition into action – turning a year of ambition into a decade of delivery” and participate in the conversation with ministers and heads of key international organisations.

Finally, together with our colleagues at the World Energy Council we will be present in the Virtual Expo Centre.

Beginning 31 May 2021, the On-Demand section of the website will offer an innovative programme of events covering a wide range of important clean energy discussions, presented in a range of formats, available to be viewed at your convenience. All content shared or shown will be available at the On-Demand platform until 20 June 2021.
