Internal pages of KTH Energy Platform

KTH's platform for energy research supports and catalyses interdisciplinary research in the energy field. An important goal is to facilitate interaction between expertise at KTH and external partners within academia, public organisations and companies with an interest in Energy research.

INTERNAL SEMINAR

Fusion research at KTH

24 April 2023

Welcome to an internal seminar on fusion organised by KTH Energy Platform due to the fact KTH is starting a centre for fusion research this year. In recent months, fusion power has received much attention in the media. New records have been reported from both the USA and England - the latter with essential contributions from KTH researchers. In Stockholm, a new company, Novatron Fusion Group, has also started developing a new design of the magnetic fields to enclose the hot fusion fuel to be tested at KTH.

KTH Solar Power Center kick-off

10 May 2023

We are happy to announce the KTH Solar Power Center initiative to gather all relevant researchers in this important and growing area. The first kick-off meeting is planned for a whole day with lunch. The event is a good opportunity to get an overall impression of this field's relevant projects and competences. At KTH, there are many researchers actively working within both photovoltaic and solar thermal areas, covering a large span of technology readiness levels.

KTH MATERIALS & ENERGY PLATFORMS DAY 2023

Energy Materials

11 May 2023

Energy Materials is the topic of the next KTH Materials Platform Day organised on 11 May 2023. Organisers this year are KTH platforms for Material and Energy. This annual event is for materials-related research at KTH, including scientific presentations and policy information. The workshop is intended for a general audience.

KTH DIGITALISATION & ENERGY PLATFORMS WORKSHOP

Data-driven methods with energy applications

14 September 2023

The digital transformation of the energy sector is seen as a key towards a more sustainable society, but the transformation poses many scientific challenges. The most innovative solutions often require competence from both the energy and digitalisation domains. This workshop is for researchers from both areas to inform and discuss the latest data-driven methods applied to the energy domain and applications in the energy domain that benefit from digitalisation solutions.

RECORDED ENERGY TALK

Energy anthology webinar recording

When researchers from KTH got together with independent Swedish non-profit membership organisation VA (Public & Science), the result was a popular science book about energy that has received a lot of attention. In September 2022, a webinar was held to provide more details about the book and give anyone interested in the project the chance to ask questions.
