Inactive zoom accounts

KTH-Zoom accounts that have not been used for a while will be deactivated or removed from KTH's Zoom instance. Read more about the procedure on this page.

KTH has a limited number of Zoom licenses that we at KTH need to manage, therefore inactive accounts are cleared at regular intervals. This is done in two steps:

  1.  Zoom licenses for users who have not logged in for more than 100 days in Zoom will be disabled. However, the account remains and when the user logs in again in Zoom (via SAML, ie via KTH's login server), the license is returned. All settings for the user's Zoom account remain.
  2. Zoom license and associated account for users who have not logged in for more than 365 days will be deleted from KTH's Zoom instance completely. This means that all information such as calendar and booked appointments, meeting settings, profile picture, etc. will be deleted completely for the account concerned. There will be no backup for it either. If the user then logs in again in Zoom (via SAML), a new Zoom account will be created for the user, with completely new basic settings.
