Dear all,

I forwarded an email from the KTH rector a few weeks ago, regarding the upcoming election of teachers’ representatives to the Faculty Council and the new Faculty Boards. These elections are very important for KTH, it’s important that the members of the boards represent the large width of KTH; and that there are members from various departments, various ages, various positions, various interests, and perspectives. The elections are prepared by nomination groups.

On Sunday this week, the nomination period closes. I received an email today from a member of the nomination group which said that the nomination group had very few nominations made by MMK people, and I was asked to remind you to nominate people.

I therefore kindly ask you to consider whether you want to nominate someone, and to then do so. More info is on Election of teachers' representatives to the Faculty Council and new Faculty Boards | KTH Intranet with links to the nomination forms.

All employees, students and affiliated persons to KTH can nominate teachers’ representatives, while there are a bit stricter rules regarding who is eligible as a candidate.

In this context, both quality and quantity is important. If one department submits many nominations, it shows engagement by the people in the department. If one person receives many nominations, it shows support for the person. We need people with engagement that has strong support.

Best,

Martin
