Josefin Larsson receives Göran Gustafsson Prize in physics

When KTH professor Josefin Larsson receives this year’s Göran Gustafsson Prize in Physics from the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, it is not only a major boost to her research funding. It is also recognition that her work is at the forefront of astrophysics.

Pär Olsson Appointed Knight of the Order of Academic Palms

Professor Pär Olsson has been appointed Knight of the French order of merit, the Order of Academic Palms. The decision recognizes his personal commitment and numerous contributions to French culture and the strengthening of French-Swedish scientific and academic cooperation.

Fredrik Lundell appointed to the VR’s Committee for Engineering Sciences

Fredrik Lundell, Professor of Experimental Fluid Mechanics and Head of the Department of Engineering Mechanics, has been appointed as a member of the Swedish Research Council’s Committee for Engineering Sciences.

The Borelius Medal

The Borelius Medal

The Borelius Medal was established in 1998, with the support of the Department of Engineering Physics. The medal is named after Gudmund Borelius, Professor of Physics at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, who initiated the Master of Science in Engineering Physics programme in 1932. The medal is awarded by the School of Engineering Sciences and recognises outstanding contributions to the development and success of engineering sciences at KTH.
