Do you teach using flipped classroom and want to try Canvas Studio?

Take the chance to influence!

Canvas Studio is an interactive video service that is well suited for flipped classrooms. Right now, Canvas Studio is being evaluated with the goal of promoting and facilitating students' interaction with videos in courses. For example, through comment fields and video quizzes. We therefore want to get in touch with teachers who are interested in testing the service in a course during spring 2023. You need to sign up before 12 December.

The E-learning management object is now accepting registrations of interest from teachers who want to test the video service Canvas Studio in their course room in Canvas. The service is integrated into Canvas and allows students to interact with the videos and each other. Students can also post their own videos in Canvas Studio and share them in the course room.

This is a test run, so if you test the service, you and your students will be required to answer a short survey afterwards about the Canvas Studio experience.

As a tester you get the chance to give your opinion and influence the work that forms the basis of KTH's decision about the choice of tools for Flipped Classroom. You also get a unique insight into one of the video systems used or tested by other universities in the country.

Requirements

There is a limited number of test licenses so we have set the following requirements:

  • 1 course per teacher.
  • The course uses the flipped classroom teaching method.
  • Max 60 - 70 students per course.
  • The course must take place during the spring in 2023.

Note! The test licenses for Canvas Studio cannot be used for examination.

Sign up and demo

As Canvas Studio is new to most people, we will offer a demonstration of the service's functions before testing begins. At the demo, you will also be able to get answers to your questions about Canvas Studio and about the testing process.

  • Video quiz (simpler questions).
  • Video subtitling and editing.
  • Recording tool.
  • Timestamped comments. Also included if the video is embedded in an assignment or page.
