ABE School breakfast: “AI tools in education and research – what is the way forward?”

The ABE Faculty Board welcomes all ABE school's faculty to the next school meeting, in the form of a breakfast, on the topics of AI tools in education and research.

AI tools are emerging all around us, already influencing how students and doctoral candidates work – and how we work ourselves! The purpose of this collegium is to discuss how AI tools may strengthen – or weaken – the quality of education, research education, and research. A large part of the session will be devoted to discussions among colleagues. The aim is to identify a direction for how the ABE School should continue to address this topic.

8:30 Sasan Sadrizadeh (KTH Civil and Architectural Engineering / Mälardalen University) presents examples of implemented AI tools used in his courses

8:45 Johan Spross and Stefan Larsson (FA) introduce key questions related to AI tools in research, research education, publishing, and peer review

8:55 Small-group discussions: some groups focus on education, others on research and doctoral education. Goal: identify possible follow-up activities on this topic. What should ABE work further on?
