About the first seminar
Companies of today implement sustainability measures into their products and operations, and AI has proven to be an effective tool for decision support and optimization of sustainable development. UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are instrumental in mapping individual organisations’ goals into the global framework.
However, this mapping is often done without taking into account the systemic perspective of the sustainability, and rather focusing on individual goals relevant to the organizations. In many cases, the concrete organisation-specific SDGs are conflicting – for example, climate action often goes against manufacturing throughput.
In this talk we will describe a mechanism for automate monitoring and action upon the SDGs, in a systemic perspective, and show how generic SDGs can be automatically mapped into organisation-specific instances. We will also discuss the speed of deployment of such mechanisms through knowledge sharing.
