About the seminar

The pressures and sense of urgency to address environmental issues, such as climate change, are pushing organisations to formulate ambitious environmental goals and strategies. Eco-efficiency and circularity are promising approaches to reduce our impacts on the planet. However, they are still considered as add-ons to business-as-usual and their implementation is still the exception rather than the norm.

In this talk, we will look at production systems through the lens of sustainable development to translate sustainability concepts and principles into industrial actions. We will explore how digital technologies can help us sense what humans cannot to unlock new levels of performance going beyond "doing less bad" and towards "doing more good".
