Molecular Programming with DNA Barcode Networks
Welcome to the docent presentation by Ian Hoffecker, regarding Docentship in Gene Technology at CBH.
Time: Fri 2024-09-06 09.00 - 10.00
Location: Gamma 2 Lunch Room, SciLifeLab
Language: English
Participating: Ian Hoffecker
Ian Hoffecker, leader of the Molecular Programming Research Group at KTH, will present his group's research program. The goal of molecular programming is to take theory and techniques inspired by classical computing and introduce them to molecular contexts. Hoffecker’s group is developing a molecular programming approach to imaging, a next generation spatial biology technology that utilizes molecular networks of DNA barcodes and high throughput sequencing to store microscopic spatial information. This optics-free “chemical” imaging approach could transform how we think about microscopy, and one day increase the throughput and availability of molecular imaging in clinical diagnostics.
