Pedagogical Activity 8: Peer Group Consultation: Tackling the challenges of intercultural teaching
Hosting university: TU Darmstadt
June 28th, 9-12 CET
Maximum participants: 10
In this virtual group consultation, we will reflect on the challenging situations that participants typically experience in their teaching contexts involving international students. Together as a group, our aim will be to develop possible solutions.
A successful learner will:
● Have developed strategies to overcome challenges typical of teaching situations involving international students as well as arising between local and international students
● Have gained insight into interculturally varying perspectives
● Have experienced the method of peer consultation as a means to develop and improve teaching in their own department
Target groups: Lecturers who teach or supervise diverse student groups including international and local students. Please be prepared to bring in your own questions. No prerequisites.
