Workshop: AI and examination 12/12
Increased access to powerful AI brings new opportunities and challenges for how we approach assessment and evaluation. In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the effects of generative AI on examination, how to handle the risk of AI-related misleading during examinations, and how we can communicate about AI with your students.
Time: Thu 2024-12-12 10.00 - 12.00
Video link: Online Zoom
Language: Svenska
Participating: E-Learning
Purpose
You, as a teacher, will get the opportunity to discuss and reflect with other colleagues at KTH about generative AI and its impact on examination processes. We will also address approaches and strategies to minimize the risk of AI-related misleading during examination, as well as methods to communicate effectively about AI with students. Tips, ideas, and good examples highlighted during the session will be compiled and shared with all participants after the workshop.
Preparations
To effectively participate in the workshop, it is important that you have done the following before the session.
-
You, as a participant, must have access to a generative AI. We recommend a free account at ChatGPT (chat.openai.com) .
-
You should have read through OpenAIs guide för “Prompt engineering” (eng, platform.openai.com) which contains strategies for getting better results from large language models.
-
You should have tried using generative AI, for example ChatGPT, and the strategies you have read about above to solve one or more examining assignments from your own courses.
Time required
120 min.
Learning objectives
After completing the workshop, participants should be able to:
-
Reflect on the possibilities and challenges of generative AI in the design and assessment of examinations.
-
Identify and reflect on various choices in the design of examinations that guide the students away from AI-related misleading during examinations.
-
Discuss generative AI with students in a constructive way.
