Evacuation drill at Teknikringen on 17 October
On Monday the 17th of October, soon after 11:00, there will be an evacuation drill at Teknikringen 38A-58 (house 17, 18 and 19). The alarms will sound and the lights will flash. Please make sure that you do not have any experiment running that can’t be left unsupervised, we don’t want this to turn into a real evacuation.
Regarding fire wardens (Utrymningsledare) there are vests hanging in the corridors, which the first person should take, and then act as the fire warden. The only responisbility a Fire Warden has it to assess if the premises is evacuated or not, without putting themselves in harm’s way, and then report this to the fire brigade or fire safety officer. If someone cannot or refuses to leave, this is what should be reported, so that the fire brigade can concentrate their efforts on saving them.
Make sure to check your local evacuation plan to see where your fire exits and assembly point is. The assembly point for CBH at Teknikringen is the park outside Teknikringen 10. Be sure to take this drill seriously, as we can’t guarantee that a real emergency won’t happen at the same time.
House 15 (Teknikringen 26-36) is not included in the drill due to the disruptions it would cause to the renovation.
