Amelie on responsible internationalisation

Published Sep 14, 2023

Last week, the CBH school's management team held a strategy day, where we discussed a number of current issues. We could see that there is a lot going on at KTH now!

Among other things, we had a session where we discussed responsible internationalisation together with KTH's Vice President for Global Relations, Stefan Östlund. Together with a couple of colleagues from other universities, Stefan has written a report on responsible internationalisation, which we used as a starting point for our discussions.

At the CBH School, we have many international collaborations, which is very positive, both for our research and education. However, there are regulations to consider and sometimes it can be difficult to draw the line when it comes to collaborating with researchers from countries with different political systems, cultures and laws. Here it is important to reflect and make a risk assessment before embarking on a collaboration. We have good support and can, for example, get help from the Research Support Office when it comes to export control issues. I think there is a great deal of awareness at the CBH school and hope that everyone continues to reflect on risks and opportunities for future international collaborations, which are very important to us!
