Amelie on the installation of new professors at KTH

Published Apr 16, 2024

Head of School Amelie Eriksson Karlström writes about this year's installation of professors at KTH and the seven new CBH professors.

Last Friday it was time for the annual installation of new professors at KTH and I had the opportunity to join in the celebrations. This year's event took place at the Grand Hotel, where the new professors were each presented with a film and then received a diploma from the President. This year, seven new professors from CBH were installed: Anders Andersson, Magnus Johnson, Francisco Vilaplana, Kerstin Forsberg, Stefan Grönkvist, Véronique Chotteau and Stephan Roth.

The films give the new professors the opportunity to talk about their research and you get to see a bit of the environment where the person works on a daily basis. This year's films were very nice, and I hope that they will soon be posted on the intranet so that all colleagues can watch them.

There are currently 78 professors at CBH and 31 per cent of them are women. We also have a number of adjunct professors, visiting professors and affiliated professors, who are important to the organisation even if their main occupation is elsewhere.

As a professor at KTH, you have a responsibility to develop both research and education, and it's great that we have so many people at the CBH school who can contribute to this work.
