Amelie on the KTH President’s visit to the CBH School
Head of School Amelie Eriksson Karlström writes about the visit of the President and Deputy President of KTH to the Department of Medical Technology and Health Systems.
On Monday morning, the President and Deputy President visited the Department of Medical Technology and Health Systems (MTH) in Flemingsberg, where they met both students and employees. When the new KTH management took office last winter, they immediately began planning visits to all KTH's departments to get to know the organisation better, and this was the sixth departmental visit to the CBH School. Only two departments now remain and the will be visited in October.
As new Head of School, I have had the opportunity to come along on all the departmental visits. It has been very enjoyable and interesting to hear how the departments present themselves and get a better insight into their activities. It is clear that the CBH School's eight departments have different characters and they have chosen to emphasise different strengths and challenges. During the visit to the MTH department on Monday, the focus was on education; during the tour we got to meet foundation year students calculating on inclined planes, bachelor students practising exam tasks and master students working on their projects.
