Amelie on school meetings

Published May 15, 2024

Head of School Amelie Eriksson Karlström writes that CBH plans to start a new type of meeting where the faculty is invited to a meeting with the Head of School and Faculty Board twice a term.

Since the turn of the year, we have new forms of collegial influence and decision-making at KTH, where the schools' faculty boards with elected teacher members form an important part. Now, we are planning to start a new type of meeting at the CBH School, school meetings, where the school's teachers and researchers are invited to a meeting with the Head of School and the Faculty Board twice a term. The idea is that we will inform on current issues and there will be opportunity for questions and discussions.

We think it is valuable to meet in person, but at the same time we realise that it will be difficult to gather in one place when we are spread across several campuses, and the school meetings will therefore be organised as hybrid meetings. We plan to rotate between the school's different campuses, and the first meeting will be in the chemistry quarters at KTH Campus.

Those of you who are teachers or researchers should have received an invitation with a Zoom link to that meeting, which is on Monday morning next week. The first meeting will be about KTH's operational plan for 2024-2026, which will be decided by the President next week, and how the work of the School Faculty Board works. I hope that many will come to K1 and join us in person, or participate in the meeting remotely!
