When can you contact a communicator? The answer is simple: always! Meet Jon Lindhe, Communications Officer at CBH, who does everything from photographing new employees to sharing new research on Linkedin.

Name: Jon Lindhe

Works as: Communicator, but also half-time chairman of ST-KTH.

Lives: In a flat in Hammarby Sjöstad with his partner.

Started at KTH: 2019

More about Jon: Grew up in Mölndal and worked as a journalist before joining KTH. Studied history in Lund and film in Stockholm. Jon goes skiing whenever he can.

What does the CBH School Communications Unit do?

“We support the management, teachers, researchers and staff with texts, pictures, films, translations, events and websites. We are three communicators with slightly different areas of responsibility, and we take turns producing CBH News once a week”.

When can people contact you?

“Whenever you want. For example, if you are sending out a mailing to students or staff and want someone to check the language, translation or graphic design – talk to us! Need to edit a powerpoint? Talk to us! We are part of the Administrative Support and can help with all forms of communication for all staff”.

How do you support researchers?

“Talk to us if you have recently published something, are attending an event or have a new project. You don't have to have news to talk to us, we'll also support you if you're organising a conference or setting up a new centre”.

What is the most difficult part of your job?

“Finding enough time. Get in touch with us well in advance so that we can plan and allocate our resources in the best possible way”.

What do you enjoy the most?

“The variety! In one day I can interview a researcher, photograph an event and build a website. I'm always learning something new!”

What's coming up next?

“We continue to report on the new organisation and follow the work of the School Faculty Board. I'm working on a showcase page on Linkedin, Materials Science at KTH, and we have plans to start another one for Life Science. We are also currently updating the CBH presentation with new examples of current research areas. As always, we rely on you to contact us with requests, tips and suggestions!”
