Mikael about the upcoming visit from the KTH President

Published Dec 08, 2022

Head of School Mikael Lindström writes about KTH's new Presidents upcoming visit to all the CBH School's campuses and the budget basis for 2024-2026.

This is the 149th issue of CBH News since the school started in 2018. It will also be the penultimate issue for 2022 and my very last foreword, as it will be replaced with an interview and reflection on the years gone by, in the last newsletter of the year. There are many who have contributed and maintained this channel of communication and it has inspired other schools. Many thanks to our communicator Jon Lindhe, who is the last in line to ensure that CBH News comes out with relevant content every week.

On December 14, our newly installed president Anders Söderholm  will visit the CBH School during the morning. We start in Solna, continue on to AlbaNova and then finally to Valhallavägen. We will arrive in Flemingsberg on the morning of January 9. The purpose of the visits is for Anders to see our broad operations in energy, environment, materials and health and how we connect both our infrastructure and research with education.

In February, KTH's budget documents for 2024-2026 will be submitted. Proposals for a new point in education are: to assign KTH more permanent education places (CivIng, HING) and to make permanent and expand the investment in lifelong learning. In research, there are proposals for a new point: to make a national, fully funded research effort on cyber security through Cybercampus Sweden. Regarding premises costs, the new addition is: Use Academic House profit to compensate the universities for sharply rising inflation and energy prices.
