Raising grades in courses or course components

Raising a grade is when a student is re-examined again in courses or course components, despite having already passed. The intention is to achieve a higher grade. Improving a grade on a course is not a right, but the opportunity to do so should be granted as long as the examiner deems it appropriate. A pass grade on the master thesis and some project courses cannot be improved.

Read about raising grades for courses or course components in KTH's regulations: Course syllabus, grading system and examination at education on all cycles .

Application for raising a grade

Students apply for grade raising via webform at the Student web . Please note that applications for grade raising received after the last day for registration will not be processed.

When an application is received, an administrator at the school's office of student affairs will contact the examiner to ensure that the raising of grade is approved.

Registration of grade
