General syllabus (ASP)
Third cycle education comprises both a General Syllabus (ASP) for the subject of doctoral studies and an individual study plan (ISP) unique to each doctoral student
In accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance, a General Syllabus must be established for each subject of doctoral studies at KTH. The General Syllabus contains information about the subject, activities, degree requirements, and course information such as compulsory, recommended, and elective courses. It also includes entry requirements, selection criteria, and assessment criteria.
Doctoral students follow the General Syllabus that was valid on the date of their admission to doctoral studies. During the course of studies, new versions may be established, and the doctoral student has the opportunity to apply to transfer to the most recent version.
