Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation

The Marcus and Amalia Wallenberg Foundation (MAW) primarily funds projects of high scientific potential and provides individual support to outstanding scientists with focus on the humanites. The Foundation also initiates programs to support children’s activities.

Project grants 2024

The Foundation has distributed almost SEK 1.9 billion in grants since its establishment, mainly to Swedish universities, other academic institutions, schools and non-profit organizations. The Foundation mainly supports research in the humanities and learning. Priority projects include new research areas and research of a cross-border nature. 

In addition, the Foundation supports children and youth projects run by established non-profit national organizations, academies, museums and universities.

If you plan to apply for grants from the MAW Foundation you need to contact Research Support Office  for the internal nomination process and to get a template for the support letter.

The call opens at 1 March 2024. Send us your documentation for the support letter by 18 March 2024, at the latest, in order to get it signed by our President in time.

Deadline: 1 April, 2024 at 13.00.
