Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation

The Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation (MMW) primarily grants funding for research in the social sciences. High-priority projects include new research areas and research of an interdisciplinary nature.

Project grants 2024

Since its inception, the Marianne and Marcus Wallenberg Foundation has distributed more than SEK 3.4 billion in grants, mainly to Swedish universities and other academic institutions. The Foundation supports research projects with high scientific potential. Projects should be focused on a coherent research question.

The Foundation welcomes applications related to the research programs WISE and WWSC.

If you plan to apply for grants from the MAW Foundation, you will need to contact the Research Support Office  to check the internal nomination process and to get a template for the support letter.

The call opens on 1 March 2024. Send us your documentation for the support letter by 18 March 2024, at the latest, in order to get it signed by our President in time.

Deadline: 1 April 2024 at 13.00.
