Visiting researchers at KTH

Visiting researchers are researchers invited to KTH from another university or institution. A visiting researcher can bring new, in-depth knowledge in their specialist area, and can also improve opportunities for future research collaborations and establish contacts between KTH and universities abroad.

Receiving a visiting researcher

  • Be sure to plan activities so that the visiting researcher has opportunities to make contacts at KTH, and deepen their exchange of knowledge with colleagues and business partners of KTH.
  • Plan for ways in which the visiting researcher can become an active member of staff with a workplace, a schedule, meetings and a contact person.

For visiting researchers

  • Contact the school’s Service Centre and KTH Relocation in plenty of time.
  • Make preparations for the issues and perspectives that might be worth feeding back to education and research, and how lessons learnt can be communicated to colleagues.

KTH Relocation  will help out with accommodation and other practical matters linked to your stay. Our Next stop KTH meetings also provide a lot of useful information about coming to Sweden as a visiting researcher. You can also sign up for updates about events and other news.

Instructions and support for receiving visiting researchers can be found at each school’s Service Centre.
