Project for increased mobility

KTH is making a further effort to stimulate mobility between academia and surrounding society

Published Apr 02, 2018

The first period of exchange will be in the autumn of 2018. Deadline for application 1 May.

KTH makes an internal investment to stimulate staff mobility from academia to external organizations. The investment means that every school in 2018 is offered the opportunity to have faculty who can stay part-time in external organizations for a certain period of time. The investments coincides with a three-year Vinnova-funded project with the same theme starting January 1, 2018. The Vinnova-funded project is part of a total of 13 national development projects focusing on collaboration between academia and external actors. Collaboration with external actors is of the utmost importance for KTH, so KTH participates in a number of these projects.

The project will involve 63 exchanges, of which 12 for KTH, divided into two different periods in three years. In PAUS, the aim is to increase the learning dimension, focusing on education and student participation, as the project KLOSS AkUt focused more on the overall process of mobility of people from the academy. The exchanges should have stated a purpose to increase relevance and quality in education and teaching. In order to achieve the goals for education cooperation we will offer a total of 8 places for teachers active in undergraduate education and 4 places for teachers in postgraduate education. PA and FA will be advised of suitable participants, who are then interviewed and chosen by the project team and the KTH steering committee.

KTH's internal investment provides an opportunity for each school to another at least 2 exchanges during 20% / 1 semester.

Prof. Mikael Östling is the client of the project concerning mobility of persons from academia to external organizations. Sara Nyberg ITM is project manager at KTH. If you have questions or ideas, contact Sara Nyberg, sarany@kth.se .
