KTH with its world-leading research and development in the life science sector, makes important contributions to health and well-being in society. Life Science research at KTH is focused on four scientific themes; Health, Environmental Life Science, Biotechnology and Fundamental Biology.
There are 70+ research groups distributed across all schools at KTH doing Life Science research. KTH researchers publish 350+ scientific articles yearly (corresponding to 20% of KTHs output of research publications) in the Life Science domain and contribute to nearly 50% of highest impact factor publications (e.g. in Nature, Science etc.) from KTH.
