What is Microsoft Planner

Microsoft Planner is a simple planning tool for users and groups that is available through web or mobile applications. Planner is offered free of charge to all KTH employees.

Who can access Planner

Planner will be made available to all employees at KTH or to people who have one of our computer platforms, KTH Windows, KTH Mac or KTH Ubuntu.

How do I get access to Planner

You can access Planner by contacting IT support by sending an e-mail to it-support@kth.se  and asking them to activate a license for you. After they activate a license, it may take up to 2 hours for you to access the service.

How do I log into Planner

Before you can log in to Planner, you must get a license (see previous paragraph on how to access a license). After you get your license activated on your user account, you can enter the flickering URL in your browser, tasks.office.com  and then log in as kthanvändarnamn@ug.kth.se.

Where can I find information on how to use Planner?

We have chosen not to create any cheat sheets on how to use Planner, but we refer to Planner's help pages. See the links below on where to find information.

FAQ - Vanliga frågor om Planner

Question: Do I have to pay for Planner?
Answer: Planner is included in our Microsoft Campus licenses and costs nothing extra for you.

Question: Can I invite people who do not belong to KTH to my planner?
Answer: Yes you can do that. KTH users need a Planner license to be invited to your Planner.

Question: How do I invite others to my planner?
Answer: For KTH users, you invite them by entering their användarnamnpåKTH@UG.KTH.SE. For people outside KTH, you should enter their e-mail address. KTH users need a Planner license to be invited to your Planner.

Question: Why can't I add new members to Planner?
Answer: Only those who created the planner have the right to add new members to Planner when they own that planner. Please contact the owner of the Planner to add new members.

Question: Can we have multiple owners/administrators for a Planner?
Answer: Yes, it is possible to have multiple owners/administrators for a Planner. Please contact IT support for help with this.

Question: What happens if the owner/administrator of Planner leaves KTH?
Answer: Please contact IT support and you will get help with changing owner/administrator for the specific Planner.

Question: I deleted a card, how do I get it back?
Answer: Unfortunately, you can not get back a card, you have to recreate it again. 

Question: Is Planner available as an application for my Iphone.
Answer: Yes, there is an application for the Iphone. Search the App Store for Microsoft Planner and install it. After installation log on as kthanvändarnamn@ug.kth.se.

Question: Is Planner available as an application for my android phone.
Answer: Yes, there is an application for android. Search the Google Play Store for Microsoft Planner and install it. After installation log on as kthanvändarnamn@ug.kth.se.
