Information and quick reference guides on how to order server certificates and user certificates at KTH.
To retrieve your certificate, you must be registered as a student or employee. KTH must also have verified your identity, typically by showing identification in
KTH Entré
or have activated your KTH account with Mobile BankID. If your identity is not verified. Visit KTH Entrance with a
Acceptable forms of identification at KTH
and ask to have your account upgraded to AL2, or visit
kth.se/activate
and increase your assurance-level with Mobile BankID.
Visit

Visit cm.harica.gr/ and choose to log in with “Academic Login”
Search for and select “KTH Royal Institute of Technology” as the institution (you may also need to agree to your name and email address being sent to Harica)
You will now be logged in using your KTH account.
Click on E-mail in the left menu and then E-mail-only
Go through the steps to apply for a personal email certificate.
The first time you do this, you will also need to verify your email address. This is done by sending an email to the email address. The message contains a link to verify.
Then go to your dashboard and select “Enroll your Certificate”
Set a password for the certificate and click continue.
You will now be able to download the certificate in .p12 format. Please note: You can only download it in .p12 format once.
Should you need to download it again in the future, you can do so through your dashboard.
KTH uses Sunet Trusted Certificate Service (TCS), part of the GÉANT TCS service. The certificate issuer is Harica.
Those registered to order certificates are mainly:
IT managers at schools
For Certadm "well-known" system administrators at KTH
Server administrators in the IT department
Selected technical managers at organizations whose domain is not under "kth.se" but which are affiliated with KTH
Ordering server certificates
Visit
cm.harica.gr/
and choose to log in with “Academic Login”
Search for and select “KTH Royal Institute of Technology” as the institution (you may also need to agree to your name and email address being sent to Harica)
You will now be logged in using your KTH account.
Click on “Servers”
Fill in all distinguished names that should be associated with the certificate. Domains in certificates are full computer names.
For example, lil-es.ug.kth.se and lil-es01.ug.kth.se
The name that is in the certificate request must also be added in this step.
Then fill in the remaining information requested for the server certificate. You will need to upload the CSR manually in the last step.
After an application is made, an admin needs to review and approve it.
You will receive an email after your application has been approved.
Once the request has been approved, the certificate is available for download through your dashboard at

Then go to your dashboard and select “Enroll your Certificate”

Should you need to download it again in the future, you can do so through your dashboard.
