Business travel at ITM

Are you going on a business trip? There is a lot to consider before you go, during the trip, as well as after you have returned. In these pages, we will guide you to the latest information about how to book a business trip, rules and agreements, travel insurance, debit cards, etc.

Some tips and advice

  1. Think of the environment!
Is the trip necessary to do in person or are there digital alternatives?
  2. Make a risk assessment
What happens if you are ill in another country? Check the country's entry rules about quarantine, for example.
  3. Check the Foreign Ministry's (UD) recommendations.
You as a traveller must always check and follow the recommendations. See UD advises against (Swe)  or the mobile app UD Resklar.
  4. Read up on insurance and make sure you have all documents in order
The insurance does not cover everything. Are you prepared to risk getting caught in a lockdown or need to be quarantined in the country you are travelling to? Information from Kammarkollegiet regarding insurance during covid-19 (Swe) . Contact us for a personal Swedish State Business Travel Insurance Certificate. And do not forget to order a European Medical Insurance Card from Försäkringskassan. Read more here: KTH business travel insurance
  5. Do you travel a lot?  Business procured personal card (FUP)/Eurocard is a debit card with an extended payment period of 30 days so that you have time to get reimbursed through KTH-RES before the invoice comes to your home address. Get an Eurocard - Business procured personal card (FUP)
  6. Please use KTH's agreements for travel and taxi bookings
