Introduction and getting started
The first time you use SCI MakerSpace, you will receive an introduction to the facilities and the procedures that apply. We will help you become familiar with the space, equipment and ways of working step by step.
Safety and security
SCI MakerSpace uses safety training and equipment-specific certifications to create a safe environment for all users. For technical equipment with a higher level of risk, both theoretical and practical training are required before you are allowed to use the equipment independently.
SCI MakerSpace is staffed by KTH employees who are responsible for technical equipment, the booking system, equipment certifications and administration. Support is also available for introductions, safe use of equipment and practical work in the makespace.
