A night to celebrate science and community
Every year, the School of Engineering Sciences gathers for a party, bringing together colleagues from across departments for an evening filled with good food, great conversations and a shared sense of community.
This year’s celebration took place in a large festive tent on KTH Campus, creating a cozy and cheerful setting despite the somewhat rainy spring weather. The buffet dinner was generous, the mood was high, and the playlist featured a mix of guest-requested favourites that kept the atmosphere lively well into the evening. With no dress code, the crowd reflected the diversity of SCI itself, ranging from smart blazers to comfy sneakers, with all styles welcome.
A special moment during the evening was the award ceremony of the Borelius Medal. This year’s recipient, Professor Waclaw Gudowski , was recognised for his outstanding contributions to nuclear research and education, as well as his passionate efforts to inspire new generations of students and researchers.
The SCI School Party is more than a tradition. It is a celebration of the people behind the research, teaching and innovation that shape our school. A big thank you to everyone who took part and made the evening one to remember. See you next year!
