Organisation and governance of Future Education at KTH
KTH's change programme Future Education is led and coordinated at a KTH-wide level by a programme management team. The President is programme owner and KTH's Management team is the programme's steering group. The Core team consists of the programme management team, the Directors of First and Second Cycle Education (GA), Deputy GAs and the student union (THS). There are also a strategic support group and a reference group with representatives from the University Administration (VS).
The latest decision on programme management, program organisation and mandate was made by President Anders Söderholm on 2025-06-03: Decision on program management and program organisation for the change programme Future Education ( HS-2025-1273 1.1 ). Programme owner and Steering group
The President Anders Söderholm is programme owner and KTH's Management team is the change programme's steering group.
Programme management team
The programme management team took office on 1 December 2022 and leads and coordinates the change programme Future Education at a KTH-wide level. In November 2024, Anna Jerbrant took over as programme manager from Joakim Lilliesköld. As of January 2025, the programme management team consists of five programme managers with all schools represented.
Mandate delegated by the President
- Appoint framework leaders (principle leaders and cluster leaders)
- Decide on the distribution of the funds allocated to Future Education
Core team
The programme's Core Team consists of all school’s Directors of First and Second Cycle Education (GA) and Deputy GAs as well as student representatives from the Student Union, THS. This group meets regularly (approximately every three weeks) and based on the meeting's agenda, representatives from the university operational support are also invited to participate and capture KTH as a whole.
Strategic support group
The strategic support group consists of the Dean, Vice president for international relations, Vice president for research, Deputy university director, Head of the department of learning, and Group leader for management and decision support in the management office.
Reference group within university administration
The reference group within university operational support consists of the Head of the department for educational support, the IT manager, the Head of the property department, the Chief librarian, the Head of the communications department, the Chairman of the education sub-portfolio and the Programme manager for the development programme for operational support.
Programme manager
The assignment as Programme manager corresponds to 50% of full-time.
Deputy programme manager
The assignment as Deputy programme manager corresponds to 10-20 % of full-time .
Assistant programme manager
The assignment as Assistant programme manager corresponds to up 10 % of full-time .
Support for the managers
The support for the programme managers consists of a programme coordinator and a programme communicator.
Programme coordinator
The assignment as programme coordinator corresponds to up to 40 % of full-time.
Programme communicator
The assignment as programme communicator corresponds to 100 % of full-time.
