Preparatory bodies

The term 'preparatory bodies' refers to university-wide groups with defined tasks and composition.

Responsible internationalization

KTH works with responsible internationalization. An Advisory Board for responsible internationalization (RAI) supports the schools and divisions at KTH with risk management. The Advisory Board can, if necessary, escalate questions to the Governing Board for responsible internationalization (SAI).

Library Council

The Library Council functions as an advisory body to the University Librarian on strategic development issues concerning the library. The council will discuss and provide advice on strategic matters related to the library. It will support the University Librarian in decisions regarding the direction of the library’s operations and how the library should be managed and developed to best support education and research. When necessary, the council may escalate issues to KTH’s management team for a decision.

Research Committee

The Research Committee is tasked with preparing President's decisions that aim to strengthen KTH in the longer term. This may, for example, include financing research infrastructures and prioritizing co-financing between externally funded special investments.

Other preparatory bodies

Within each school organization there are, among other things, faculty boards, employment committees and docent committees. Information and links to these bodies can be found on the School Organization web page.

Within the Faculty Council there are, among other things, the Ethics Committee and the Promotion Committee, which are university-wide bodies. Information and links to these bodies can be found on the Faculty Council website.

Until the turn of the year 2024/2025, there was a promotion board and an employment board at university-wide level, and within each school there were recruitment committees and docent committees.
