The Decision

The President decides on the programme management and organisation for the change programme Future Education at KTH, in accordance with Appendix 1.

This decision enters into force on 3 June 2025 and remains valid until 31 December 2027. The part of the decision concerning Professor Karin Odelius enters into force on 1 May 2025 and remains valid until 31 December 2027.

This decision replaces the previous decision on programme management and programme organisation for Future Education at KTH (ref. no. V-2024-1137).

The Matter

The change programme Future Education at KTH has been in operation since December 2022, following the President’s decision in June 2022 on the principles for future education (ref. no. V-2022-0380). The programme is scheduled to run until the end of 2027 and serves to initiate, lead and coordinate several development projects. In addition, development work is also carried out within the framework of various initiatives at KTH. Future Education at KTH is funded through central allocations from the appropriation for first- and second-cycle education in accordance with KTH’s operational plan for 2025–2027 (ref. no. V-2024-0988).

In October 2024, the President decided to expand the programme management and appointed a Programme Manager, two Deputy Programme Managers and two Assistant Programme Managers (ref. no. V-2024-1137).

In March 2025, one of the Assistant Programme Managers passed away, and a new Assistant Programme Manager needs to be appointed. Head of School Amelie Eriksson Karlström has proposed appointing Professor Karin Odelius from the CBH School to this role. The programme also includes a strategic supporting group and a reference group. The reference group should be expanded to include the Head of the Communications Department.

This decision has been made by President Anders Söderholm following a presentation by Group Manager Karin Almgren. Present at the decision were Deputy University Director Fredrik Oldsjö, President of the Student Union at KTH Gustav Heldt, and the meeting secretary, Annette Grahn.
