Podcast on the future of education

The programme management's podcast "Fikasnack om Framtidens utbildning" (Fika chat on the future of education) started in spring 2023 to share knowledge and perspectives on educational development – at KTH and beyond. The theme is the future of education in general and the change programme "Future Education at KTH" in particular.

Fika chat on the future of education is a podcast for sharing knowledge and perspectives on educational development – at KTH and beyond. Marcus Lithander is the podcast host, but in this episode 72 he is also project manager commissioned by the Education Office at the University Administration.

The podcast host Marcus Lithander chats, usually live, with someone from the management team as co-host and guest(s) from KTH or from outside.

Fika chat on the generative AI-tool NotebookLM

How can teachers benefit from NotebookLM, and how do they do so? KTH now has an approved licence for several generative AI tools, including a Google Cloud licence. In this podcast, we get a live demo from Erik Wallström (Google) on how to use NotebookLM, which has been noticed and used by the Future Education programme management.

The live podcast format allows for a more reasoning approach and multiple perspectives since it constitutes synchronous direct communication. We can also zoom out and think ahead to a greater extent, regarding KTH's improvement work over the next 5–10 years.

  • generally, about education-related issues at KTH and
  • specifically, about the change programme Future Education at KTH.

Knowledge sharing and experience exchange

  • KTH internal sources: colleagues share good examples with each other
  • External sources: we get inspiration and lessons learnt from others outside KTH.

Real-time documentation

The podcast also becomes a form of real-time documentation of current events and activities within the Future Education at KTH programme and at KTH.
