How eased pandemic restrictions will affect KTH's education
From 29 September, the pandemic-related restrictions on how many people can stay in KTH's premises will be removed. From study period 2, educational activities can be designed entirely based on what benefits learning, with what was described as the overall focus in the LOW scenario as a starting point.
Full focus on learning
With the implementation of step four in the government's abolition of restrictions from 29 September 2021, KTH's teaching and examination are not limited by pandemic-related infection control rules. Teachers can focus entirely on what works best for learning, what works best digitally and on campus.
As the regulatory documents for KTH's educational activities, point in the same direction as described in the overall direction for the scenario description level LOW, the President's decision from June 1, 2021 (V-2021-0421) continues to apply as a regulatory starting point, i.e .:
"Teaching and examination where students' learning and the opportunity to achieve courses' learning objectives that benefit, or can be implemented just as well, from being implemented in the digital environment, continue to be implemented digitally. The remaining teaching and examination is carried out on campus."

From study period 2
The educational activities that have taken place at a distance solely due to room restrictions (with the risk of impaired learning for students) can thus be placed on campus. Any changes in layout are suitably implemented for study period 2; many students have expressed concern that the planning for study period 1 will change drastically immediately after September 29.
The furniture placings will be restored
The Property Department will prepare the classrooms for the original installation on all campuses. It is expected to take about a week after 29 September.
Subject to changes if new directives come from the government or the Public Health Agency.
