Third-cycle Education Committee
The Faculty Board's Third-cycle Education Committee consists of three of the board's teaching members and the board's doctoral student representative. If necessary, other members and individuals may also be co-opted. The Faculty Board appoints the committee's chairman and members with a term of office of one year.
The committee meets before each Faculty Board meeting or when necessary. The committee's task is to provide the Faculty Board with recommendations for decisions on establishing or discontinuing courses, adopting or canceling syllabuses, on general study plans for subjects at the doctoral level, and establishing, changing and discontinuing doctoral programs in accordance with KTH's delegation regulations. The Committee is also responsible for preparing the Faculty Board’s deliberations on other matters relating related to third-cycle education. The committee cannot make decisions on the Faculty Board's mandate.
