Nominate new partnership director for Region Stockholm

If you want to develop the collaboration between KTH and Region Stockholm, the role of partnership director may be for you. The assignment is open to employees at the ABE School and will be a two-year appointment. The school will fund the assignment at 20 percent of full-time. KTH has formal strategic partnerships with major global companies and public sector organisations of particular importance to the university’s activities. The role of partnership director for Region Stockholm involves a proactive coordinating function to increase collaboration and knowledge exchange in mutually prioritised areas. The director is expected to spend approximately one day per week physically on site at the partner’s location. The partnership with Region Stockholm aims to foster more joint projects and mobility of people in both directions.

Requirements for the partnership director at KTH

  • PhD awarded at least 5 years ago
  • Permanent employment at KTH (minimum 50%) as a researcher, associate professor, or professor
  • Significant experience in undergraduate education or lifelong learning at KTH
  • Experience of collaboration with public organisations or industry
  • Interest and experience in project management, entrepreneurship, innovation management, organisational governance, or similar

Examples of tasks in the role of partnership director

  • Prepare and propose content for the partnership and direction in the target document
  • Anchor and disseminate information about the partnership and its activities within KTH
  • Actively facilitate matching of KTH’s expertise in a brokering role, for example through researcher meetings, or by facilitating degree projects and joint applications

Nomination

Nominations, including self-nominations, can be sent to ledningsstod@abe.kth.se  by 5 February 5 2026. After this, head of school will make a decision based on the requirements profile, in consultation with the ABE School’s management and heads of department, the partnership leader at RSO, the deputy president, and the coordinator at the partner organisation. The assignment is expected to begin immediately after the decision is made.
