Meet the ABE school’s new Heads of department
Five new heads of department will take up their posts at the turn of the year. They bring with them a variety of experiences, motivations and ideas for the future. How does it feel to take on the role of head of department? What are they looking forward to, and who are the people behind these appointments? We asked them a few short questions to get to know them a little better.
Focus on impact and the upcoming review of the school’s programmes
The impact of research was high on the agenda when the Faculty Board met last week. The Board was presented with a draft of the school’s new impact strategy and discussed, amongst other things, how the impact of research can be better highlighted. The upcoming external peer review of the school’s degree programmes was also a key item on the agenda.
Review and analysis of ABE’s research infrastructures initiated
Head of the School has decided to commission Magnus Wålinder, the School’s Responsible for research infrastructure, to carry out a review and analysis of the School’s research infrastructures.
The assignment aims to provide a strategic basis for decision-making regarding the long-term planning, prioritisation and development of the School’s research infrastructure.
Several positions of trust at the ABE School are to be filled in 2026. For some, new people must be elected, while other positions can be extended. Here you can see all positions that expire, including relevant dates, what the process looks like, and who makes the decision. This page will be updated with information about how the various processes progress.
Election of teacher faculty representatives to Faculty Board ABE
The term of office for the current six teacher faculty representatives on each school's faculty board ends at the turn of the year. New representatives will therefore be elected. Voting will take place online from 23 October to 2 November 2026. Information about the election and the voting procedure will be published on KTH’s intranet and sent out by email to those eligible to vote.
