Invitation to seminar: Practical information for new doctoral students

Welcome to a seminar with practical information for newly admitted doctoral students at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment (ABE).

Date and time: Tuesday 12 November at 9.00 – 12.00
Place: Conference room, ABE School’s Office, Teknikringen 74D

The seminar will address the following topics: Organisation; Rights, responsibilities and regulations; Doctoral studies and its administration; Insurance; Information from KTH library.

The invitation is aimed at doctoral students at the ABE-school who have been admitted to doctoral studies after 1 July 2018.

Apply for financial support for Open Access publishing

For the year 2019, 200,000 SEK has been allocated to support Open Access publication at the school. This gives ABE school researchers the opportunity to apply for financial support when they want an Open Access publication.

Information regarding periods for promotion

There is one application period per year for associate professors to apply for promotion to professor.

  • 1-31 January

When applying for promotion from associate professor to professor initial dialogue must be made with your closest Manager and Head of Department no later than September.

There are three application periods per year for assistant professors to apply for promotion to associate professor.

  • 1-31 January
  • 1-30 April
  • 1-30 September

Please note that applications from assistant professors must be submitted in sufficient time so that KTH can review and make a decision before the employment period ends. Please expect a processing time of at least seven months.
