Location: Kurslokalen, Teknikringen 1
The seminar will explores how power operates within academic and research spaces, focusing on the ways it is exercised, sustained, and reproduced. It critiques hierarchical structures and conventional success metrics, which are often shaped by patriarchal and neoliberal norms, and considers their effects on academic relationships and research practices. Drawing on the work of thinkers such as Paulo Freire, the presentation introduces alternative frameworks and practical strategies to challenge entrenched power relations and to cultivate more inclusive, equitable, and supportive research environments.
