Teacher stories: "From laboratory room to virtual lab - how to carry out remote laboratory assignments" (SWE)

Laboratory work is an important part of an engineering education and they are therefore included in various forms in many of the courses at KTH. For students, they often become a way to connect the theoretical parts with the practical. But, how can laboratory work be performed when the students are not physically present? And, what is required of teachers and students when the labs take place online? These are some of the issues that will be covered in this webinar. (This webinar will be held in Swedish).

About the Webinar

This webinar will be divided into two parts where Björn Ström (from the Unit of Digital Learning and the House of Science, KTH) will describe different general ways of conducting laboratory work at a distance. The second part will focus on how Ramis Örlü (from the Department of Engineering Mechanics) carried out remote laboratory work during the latter part of the spring semester. Ramis will then tell how he and several doctoral students carried out the laboratory work with the students at a distance, including short films in combination with quizzes in Canvas and question and answer sessions in Zoom to engage and interact with the students.
