Technical security systems

The purpose of technical security systems is to provide a secure environment for KTH staff, students and visitors through controlled access to its buildings and premises. They shall protect KTH's premises against unauthorised access, vandalism and prevent and deter theft, and unlawful appropriation of property. The systems detect and forward events to the alarm receiving centre for processing and action by security guards. Security systems also allow KTH staff to call for appropriate assistance and action in the event of a situation arising.

Security systems are planned and installed according to security needs, set requirements and individual objectives in accordance with KTH's project conditions.

KTH's technical security systems include:

  • Access control
  • Intrusion alarms
  • Fire alarms
  • Camera surveillance
  • Security and assault alarms
  • Service alarms
