At the CBH Faculty Board meeting on 27 August 2025, topics discussed included current projects within Future Education and the upcoming work on the school reform agenda.

At the meeting, the Faculty Board decided to appoint Shareq Mohd Nazir, Associate Professor at the Department of Energy Processes, as a substitute member of CBH's Recruitment Committee.

‘I look forward to being part of the committee. It is an opportunity for me to contribute to the school's activities in terms of teacher recruitment,’ Mohd Nazir says.

The chair of the Recruitment Committee, Professor Mats Jonsson, explains that the eight members of the committee form a pool for recruitment boards within CBH.

‘Eight people is a fairly small pool when trying to find dates for meetings and avoid conflicts of interest. It is also important that the entire school is represented on the committee. We are therefore pleased that the Faculty Board has appointed Shareq Mohd Nazir as a new member of the Recruitment Committee after Dan Harding left KTH,’ Jonsson says.

Seven ongoing projects

Torbjörn Gräslund, Director of First and Second Cycle Education, provided information about Future Education and the status of ongoing projects at CBH.

In 2025, seven projects will be carried out within Future Education at CBH. Among other things, a new master's programme in molecular biotechnology and bioinformatics is being developed, and the bachelor's programmes in electrical engineering and computer engineering are being harmonised with similar programmes at the EECS school.

´But an important part of future education is that teachers and administrative staff should have the opportunity to carry out projects they are passionate about. Much of the resources we invest in the projects go towards covering our own salaries, so that we can spend our working hours implementing our projects. Among other things, we are introducing digital and continuous assessment on certain courses, and we are implementing a sustainability project where we are building a cloud maker space for students from old, discarded IT equipment,´ Gräslund says.

At the beginning of next year, there will be a new opportunity for everyone to propose projects within Future Education.

‘I will send out information when the time comes,’ Gräslund says.

School reform agenda to be updated

Amelie Eriksson Karlström also presented the goals and activities in the school's reform agenda, which will be updated ahead of the operational dialogue with KTH management in November.

The content and priority activities for 2026-2028 will be discussed at the joint meeting of the Faculty Board and the School Management Group on 25 September 2025.
