Hi, Micke Prytz!
EECS's new Safety coordinator
We have spoken with Micke Prytz, who was appointed the school's Safety coordinator in June . This means, among other things, having overall responsibility for the safety at the school.
"The most important thing for me is that everyone should feel safe in their workplace", says Micke.
Hi Micke! Tell us a little about you and your role at EECS.
"I am group manager for the infrastructure team both on campus and in Kista. I'm also the school's fire protection coordinator, where I work with systematic fire protection together with the University Administration (GVS) and other fire protection managers in the school's properties. I also work with multiple projects within the school, such as renovations, significant moves, onsite issues and shell protection. I have my primary workplace at Electrum in Kista where I am driven to make everyday life work smoothly for all those who work and study there."
You were appointed the school's Safety coordinator in June; tell us about this role.
"This means that I have contact and work with KTH Security at GVS, police and fire brigade regarding the school's security. I had worked with this for a while before it became official. The difference is, now I have time set aside for it, and I have started some projects, such as an inventory of our shell protection."
What do you think is most important to work with when it comes to safety at EECS?
"The most important thing for me is that everyone should feel safe in their workplace."
Micke also suggests visiting the school's crisis pages on the intranet, where you for example can see which emergency number to call when. Also, don't forget to register to the Basic course in fire prevention by 17 September.
