Marianne Lundin, who has held the role of Acting Head of School's Office at EECS since the turn of the year, has been appointed to the role permanently as of today.

Marianne has been employed at KTH since 2015, including as Deputy Head of School's Office at EECS for two years before becoming Acting Head of School's Office. In total, Marianne has 25 years of experience in the university world from various roles at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm University and the Royal College of Music, KMH. The appointment was preceded by a longer competitive external recruitment process that was finally completed on 28 August.

EECS has thus recruited a Head of School's Office who is already well versed in the office administration and understands what the school's office needs to focus on in the short and long term.

"The main task is to ensure stable financial support going forward for EECS. Another important task is to continue providing effective and well-ordered support to the operations, within the financial boundaries that has been set for the operational support. The work with the departmental teams is also a continued important issue to work with.", says Marianne.

How should the school's support be developed in the future?

"We must ensure that all talented employees stay at the school office and thrive, despite demanding conditions. It is very important that we offer a positive and good work environment for everyone in the school office and that we work purposefully to ensure that our employees feel appreciated and want to continue to contribute to the operations within the different parts of the school office."

How should the challenges of the business be met in the best way?

"We must identify needs and work together throughout the support services to constantly improve so that we deliver what is requested with high quality. Through continuous dialogue and communication with the representatives of the operations and joint work within the support services, we can create better conditions to ensure that those who receive the support feel that what is offered really meets their needs."
